After Glee is off the air and the cast can pursue other projects, Darren intentionally, but subtly, lets the cat out of the bag at an event he’s attending with Chris.

“So what brings you and your old Glee flame, Chris Colfer, out here tonight, Darren?” The overly enthusiastic E! correspondent asked, a twinkle in her eye to get the real juice.

Darren resisted the urge to look over at Chris, standing twenty feet away and conducting his own interviews. Darren had meant to slip straight into the party and remain anonymous, but he couldn’t help but get a twinkle in his eye and smile, nervously rolling up his sleeves.

“Well, it isn’t every day you get free drinks, a free 3DS, and get to schmooze with your man, so who was I to pass up the opportunity?” He grinned mischievously over to the reporter, who looked back at him, her mouth slightly agape.

“Wait, was that on-the-record? Is there something else you’d like to tell us?”
